Shiny Pokemon
A shiny Pokemon is a Pokemon that is in a different colour than its usual self. For example, we'll look at Piplup
A shiny Piplup is a Cyan colour and A normal Piplup is a Blue colour.

Shiny Pokemon are much rarer and hard to find compared to a normal Pokemon. Shiny Pokemon are really cool too, the different colours make you want to have them even more.
The stats are the same as a regular Pokemon, shiny's don't have different stats, or higher ones. The only difference with a shiny is the colour.
Want to know the easiest way to get a Shiny Pokemon on Diamond Or Pearl?
Simply just use the Poke Radar. If you keep on getting the same Pokemon over and over again, you'll be bound to find a Shiny.
On the other games, its simply just luck and walking through the grass waiting for the awesome Pokemon to arrive in the scene, with a cool new shade xD
