Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire version is third generation pokemon. You need a GBA (Gameboy advance, or Gameboy advance SP). There is 200 new Pokemon on this game, with three brand new starters, with the traditional trio, Water, Grass & Fire. This game was based in an all new region, Hoenn. This island was filled with many towns and water routes. There are 8 new gyms, with very strong gym leaders. There are two evil teams Team magma for Ruby and Team Aqua for Sapphire. There are also over 10 exclusive Pokemon to each game. There are two legendary birds Latios and Latias. There are three main Legendaries, Kygore for Sapphire, Groundon for Ruby and for both games Rayquaza. There are also another 3 legendaries, they are robots. Regice, Regirock and Registeel. They are available on both games.
Additions

There were over 36 new berries added to this game, they were all different shapes and sizes. Contest! Yes, finally contests have been added to the game, these contest make the game a lot more interesting, with this all new feature. There are 5 different contests, and four ranks.
